Boxing Day on December 26 is a public holiday in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and many other Commonwealth countries. The name comes not from the sport but from the tradition of giving boxes of gifts or money to servants, tradespeople, and the poor on the day after Christmas. T
