National Llama Day

The South American camelid that carries packs, guards livestock, and has made the internet very happy.

National Llama Day on December 9 celebrates the llama, domesticated in the Andes for approximately 5,000 years as a pack animal and for wool. In the United States, llamas are kept as livestock guardians, pack animals, therapy animals, and social media subjects.
