World Soil Day

The substance we walk on that makes all food, all life on land possible.

World Soil Day on December 5 was established by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in 2014 to raise awareness about soil as a critical resource for food security, ecosystems, and climate. Approximately one-third of the world's soil is degraded, and soil is being lost to erosion and
