National Fire Pup Day celebrates the Dalmatian, the classic firehouse mascot, and the bond between dogs and firefighters. In the days of horse-drawn fire engines, Dalmatians ran alongside the wagons, calmed the horses, and guarded the equipment. Though trucks long ago replaced the horses, the spotte
