International Day of Peace

The International Day of Peace was established by the UN General Assembly in 1981, with a fixed date of September 21 set in 2001. The UN calls for a 24-hour global ceasefire on this day and has used it to facilitate humanitarian operations in conflict zones. It is also a day for education, advocacy,
